Eco Filter Services are proud to offer a full and comprehensive Ventilation supply and extract duct cleaning service to the highest standards. Smoke and Fire damper testing service also available.
All operatives of Eco Filter Services Ltd, are trained up to BESA TR-19 standard to provide a high quality cleaning of the ventilation system.
The Process of cleaning includes:
A fire damper is a mechanical device, which is operated either manually or automatically, to prevent the fire or smoke from spreading through a ductwork system. Fire dampers are located in the ductwork where it passes through fire retardant walls or floors. Eco Filter Services are proud to offer a full and comprehensive Smoke and Fire damper testing service.
In the majority of cases a fire damper is held in the open position with a fusible link that melts at 72°C, releasing the blades of the damper to close and stop the fire from spreading through the ductwork.
Fire Dampers are a critical part of the fire protection system. Correctly operating fire dampers can make a significant difference in the case of fire. If they fail to close they won’t prevent fire from spreading and that could lead to destruction and loss of life.
It is very important to make sure that the fire damper works properly when fire occurs. Drop testing, cleaning and maintenance of fire dampers is crucial to keep your fire safety system in good condition.
Eco Filter Services provide the Fire Damper Inspection which includes:
As an alternative to just supply, Eco Filter Services can supply and install the filters on site.
All initial site surveys are a free of charge service. With over 20 years experience we will be able to advise and assist in recommending the correct level of filtration required for each individual site.
All goods remain the property of Eco Filter Services until paid for in full.
Introduced in 2018, ISO 16890 is a global standard that defines testing procedures and specifies general requirements for assessing and classifying air filters used in general ventilation equipment. It was designed to replace existing standards of ASHRAE 52.2 in the USA and EN779:2012 in Europe.
ISO 16890 concerns air filters that are commonly used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications and therefore influence the indoor air quality across a wide range of industries worldwide, in turn affecting a large number of people including consumers, employees and patients.
Before ISO 16890 was implemented, classification standards were mainly localised and differed across the world. Having a common method of testing and categorising air filters in line with their particle efficiencies allows engineers and maintenance teams to choose the most suitable filter types for their system. This can improve air quality, resulting in a safe and clean environment.
The standard refers to particle matter efficiencies and involves three different sized particles, ePM1, ePM2.5 and ePM10. ISO 16890 includes ePM1, which represents extremely fine particles that are known to be the most harmful to human health. This means that the standard should improve air quality that directly affects human health.
